"Yutaka Nacamura - Since the beginning"

   Não me recordo bem de quando iniciou esta amizade, mas durou o suficiente para que fizessem muitas descobertas de novos sites de vôo e muitos vôos juntos. Abaixo, a primeira asa delta de Yutaka (provavelmente):

"I do not remember well when this friendship began, but lasted long enough to make many discoveries of new flight sites and many flights together. Below, the first glider of Yutaka (probably)":

   Nota-se que sua asa tinha um monte de estrelas fixadas a ela – bem característico no caso dele.

   "Note that the wing had a lot of stars attached to it - quite typical for him." 

   Abaixo, Ford Jeep Laranja 78 de Felipe e Ford Belina II de Yutaka, com Felipe, César, Anderson e Yutaka (sempre fumando) a bordo na serra de Caraguatatuba.

   "Below, famous orange Ford Jeep 78 of Felipe and Ford Belina II owned by Yutaka, with Felipe, Cesar, Anderson and Yutaka (aways smoking) on board in Caraguatatuba ridge."

  Enquanto não se voava, se divertia a beça! Só resta saber quem se vestiu de biruta...

  "While not flying, we enjoyed a lot! It only remains to know who dressed as windsock."

   Me lembro muito bem, como se fosse hoje, quando Felipe soube de sua enfermidade, e Yutaka lhe visitou dizendo algo assim: “O que é isso, Felipe, você não vai morrer não, vai se curar”... Dito isto, quis o destino que Yutaka partisse antes de Felipe (maldito cigarro)... Talvez para recebê-lo do outro lado... Quem sabe?

   "I remember very well, like today, when Felipe knew about his illness, and Yutaka, visiting him, told something like: "What is it, Felipe, you will not die, you will be healed by yourself" ... But fate made Yutaka depart before Felipe (damn cigarette)... Perhaps to welcome him on the other side ... Who knows?"

Um mundo sem aparelho de T.V.

"A world without T.V. set”

   Bons tempos aqueles em que não tínhamos aparelho de tv ou mesmo a internet para nos travar a criatividade – não se tinha nem mesmo tempo para engordar.

   “Good times we had without TV or even the Internet to catch on creativity - not even had time to fatten.”

   A prova de que se tinha tempo para exercer a criatividade está nesta torre de observação feita de bambus que Felipe projetou e construiu em sua juventude, a qual resistia tranquilamente o peso de uma pessoa adulta.

   “Evidence that they had time to exercise creativity is this observation tower made of bamboo that Felipe designed and built in his youth, which incredibly resisted the weight of an adult.”

   Mas suas aventuras sempre eram compartilhadas, e sempre que possível, com as crianças. Na foto abaixo, ele levou para cima da caixa-dágua seu filho Anderson (eu), e seus sobrinhos Andris Pintor e Evelin Wasser.

   “But his adventures were always shared, and whenever possible, with the children. In the photo below, he took up the boiler Anderson (me), and his nephews Andris Pintor and Evelin Wasser.”

   Este seria apenas mais um salto em sua vida, não fosse o mesmo capturado por uma das raras máquinas de fotografias da época estar nas mãos de algum amigo e tenho o prazer de postá-la agora e relembrar os muitos saltos que ele realizou (em colorido). Vale lembrar que nesta época ele ainda não tinha a mania de saltar pelado.

   “This could be just one more jump in his life, had not even captured by one of the few machines photos of the time in the hands of a friend and I'm happy to post it now and remember the many jumps he made (in color). Remember that this time he still had no habit of jumping naked.”

   Uma pessoa tão aventureira e ligada na natureza não deveria jamais se casar com alguém que não tivesse o mesmo espírito desprendido do convencional e da rotina (o que fez).

Na foto abaixo, Felipe e esposa Berenice (recém casados) em frente à estátua de Fernão Dias, e um casal que não reconheço. Se alguém soube, me informe, por favor.

   “A person so adventurous and connected in nature should never marry someone who did not have the same spirit detached from the conventional and routine (what he made).

  Foto de 12 de janeiro de 1969 (eu nem tinha sido encomendado)... Felipe parece aborrecido - cadê as aventuras?

   "Taken January 12, 1969 (I had not been ordered) ... Felipe seems boring - where's the adventure?"

Vôo Livre - Contribuições de Moises de Souza.

Havia uma seqüência para se aprender a voar no início da década de 80 – Todos começava com a asa modelo “Rogalo” que ele construiu no Brasil em 1975, assim que voltou da Itália com essa idéia maluca na cabeça – de que o homem podia voar livremente.

"There was a sequence to learn to fly in the early 80 - Everybody started with the wing model "Rogalo" that he built in Brazil in 1975, after he returned from Italy with this crazy idea in his head - that man could fly freely.

Na seqüência, voava se com a asa Falcon, comprada no final da década de 70. Podemos ver Moises na asa,  Felipe e Resende no apoio.

"Subsequently, everybody flew with the wing "Falcon", bought in the late 70's." We can see Moises at the wing, Felipe and Resende helping him.

Na seguinte foto, Moises já ostenta sua asa de pano simples “Quero-quero” em decolagem na Pedra do Baú. Aluno formado, amizade selada.

"In the following picture, Moises already boasts its wing simple surface "Quero-quero" (It's a bird name) in the takeoff of "Pedra do Baú" (SP state). Graduated student, friendship sealed."

Da turma da “nova geração” de voadores que Felipe Wasser formou, aparecem da esquerda para a direita o Doni, Resende, Moises, Gedilson e o Paulo Morais (Pingaiada). Por do sol no Pico Agudo - Devia estar muito frio por lá!

Felipe Wasser na decada de 60

Penso que ele jamais imaginaria que estas fotos poderiam estar disponíveis onde estão neste exato momento... Nem acredito que, se ele estivesse ainda entre nos, se atreveria a "perder tempo" em frente a um computador (o que ele em sua época chamava de "futuro dedo-duro").

"I think he would never imagine that these photos might be available where they are right now ... I can not believe that if he were still among us would dare to "waste time" in front of a computer (which he in his day called "future snitch")."

Mas registrar ele sempre registrou, e eu que sou mais caseiro que ele, compartilho suas antigas aventuras com quem quiser ver.

"But he always took picures, and as I stay more at home than him,  I share his adventures with others who want to see."

Uma coisa eu tenho certeza: Ele ficaria entusiasmado com o Google Earth e nos dias chuvosos, "perderia" muito tempo tentando encontrar novos lugares pra saltar de asa ou pra fazer trilha com o jeep.  Na foto abaixo, com seu cunhado Jair Pintor.

"One thing's for sure: He would be excited about Google Earth and on rainy days, could "lose" a lot of time trying to find new places to jump with hang gliding or to do trail with his jeep. In the photo below, with his brother-in-law Jair Pintor."

Não conheci ninguém (e duvido que venha conhecer) que fosse mais aventureiro que ele - alguns são ligado a terra, outros ao mar, outros ao ar... Felipe era ligado a tudo. Mas sua maior paixão era sem dúvida o ar.

"I never met anyone (and I doubt that will know) that was more adventurous than him - some are linked to land, others by sea, and air ... Felipe was connected to everything. But his greatest passion was undoubtedly the air."

Salto de 12 de junho de 1966, no avião prefixo PP- GKI. Neste dia, diz a lenda, que uma mulher que saltou logo em seguida veio a falecer pois seu para-quedas não abrira.

"Jumping June 12, 1966, the plane prefix PP-GKI. On this day, legend says that a woman who jumped soon after he died because his parachute had not opened"
