Felipe, "O Garimpeiro" – “ the Prospector” Part II

                Redenção da Serra foi toda inundada pela represa e o cemitério dessa cidadezinha ficou debaixo d'água (veja foto abaixo).

                Redenção da Serra city (SP state) was all flooded by the dam and the cemetery of that town was underwater (see pic bellow).

                Felipe mergulhava e trazia consigo placas de bronze, cruzes, vasos especiais de valor.

                Felipe dived and brought bronze plaques, crosses and vases with special value.

                Depois, vendiam as peças e sempre encontravam pessoas que davam muito valor e pagavam bem por aqueles objetos.

                Then they sold the parts and always found people who gave very valuable and well paid by those objects.

                Nova tentativa foi na Serra de S.Benedito, onde falavam que havia tesouros.  Mas ao chegarem ao local descobriram cavalos que haviam caído na grande pirambeira do local e desistiram da caçada por ser o local de dificílimo acesso.

                New attempt was in Serra S. Benedito (Sierra St. Benedict), where he had talked treasures. But to arrive at the site they found horses that had fallen in the great cliff of the site and gave up the chase as the site had extremely difficult access.

Felipe Wasser e uma de suas famosas tirolezas (Felipe Wasser and one of his famous Tyrolean)

                Por meses aguardei ansiosamente a visita de um amigo de juventude do meu irmão à minha residência para me contar umas aventuras que fizeram juntos.

                I waited anxiously for months for the visit of a friend of my brother from his youth to my home to tell me some of their adventures together.

                Mais ou menos nos fins dos anos 50 e início dos 60, Felipe e sua turminha de amigos - Calixto (o mais velho),  Leocádio (seu primo),  Tabajara (de S.José do Rio Preto) e Ricardo  - saiam juntos para procurar "tesouros" escondidos.

                Aproximatedly in the late 50's and early 60's, Felipe and his gang of friends - Calixto (the oldest), Leocádio (his cousin), Tabajara (from S. José do Rio Preto) and Ricardo - tried to find out together hidden “treasures".

                Diziam que lá no bambual do Sanatório Vicentina Aranha, debaixo da grande touceira, havia um tesouro enterrado. Naquela época, a Avenida São João e a Avenida Nove de Julho não eram povoadas e iluminadas como hoje. A turminha esperava o guarda da noite se afastar para atuarem debaixo da touceira de bambu.

                People said there in the bamboo grove Sanitarium Vicentina Aranha, under the big clump, there was a buried treasure. At that time, São João Avenue and Nove de Julho avenue was not lit and populated as today. The gang waited for the guard of the night away to work under the clump of bamboo.

Aila - A lancha maior. (Aila - The larger boat)

Kuka Phria - A lancha menor - 1981. (Kuka Phria ["Cool Mind"] - The smaller boat - 1981)

Algumas vezes o Chevrolet Caravan rebocava a lancha. (Sometimes the Chevrolet station wagon towed the boat)

Outras vezes, o Jeep o fazia - da esquerda para a direita, Antonio Carlos Carlin (Fio), Jessé Alvares Pintor e Anderson. (Other times, the Jeep did - From left to right, Antonio Carlos Carlin (Fio), Jessé Alvares Pintor e Anderson).

Em julho de 1980 fazia mais frio que atualmente - Esq. para dir. Anderson, Elis, Kleber, Luciene e Flavio. (In July 1980 was cooler than today - left to right Anderson, Elis, Kleber, Luciene e Flavio)

Como já havia lhes falado sobre o Zé Claro, eis a foto do homem. (As I told U before about Zé Claro, lets introduce him)

Fev. 1981 - a lancha Kuka Phria era realmente pequena, mas seu motor era forte o suficiente. (Feb. 1981 - Kuka Phria the boat was really small, but its engine was strong enough)

maio de 1980 - Não creio que seja permitido se pescar assim atualmente. (May 1980 - I do not think is allowed to fish with this device today)

                Jaguari Dam part I

                Felipe Wasser tinha uma paixão inquestionável: o vôo. Mas poderíamos afirmar também a água era sua segunda paixão.

                Felipe Wasser had a passion undeniable: the flight. But we could also say the water was his second passion.

                Ele tinha uma lancha chamada Aila, e em seguida outra menor chamada Kuka Phria, que utilizava para explorar os rios da região, bem como levar a família para passear e até acampar em alguma ilha.

                He had a powerboat named Aila, and then a smaller one called Kuka Phria, that he used to explore the rivers of the region and take the family to navigate and even camp on some island.

               Foto de 1982 (acima) – a lancha era muito pequena, mas como podemos notar, nada que um bom pedaço de corda, um barco a remo e uma prancha de Wind surf sem a vela não resolvesse...

              Pic from 1982 (above) - the boat was very small, but as we can see, nothing that a good piece of rope, a rowboat and a board of Wind surf would not solve ...

                Como ele era ligado à aventura, não dispensava o Sky aquático e o Wind surf, além de fazer tirolesas às quais lançava todos os familiares e amigos para um vôo sobre as águas da represa.

                As he was linked to the adventure, he did not relieve the Water Skiing and Wind Surfing, and make tyrolean which threw all the relatives and friends for a flight over the waters of the dam.

                Eu me lembro quando ele chamava todos meus amigos para ir à represa, e a garotada dizia “puxa vida, como eu queria ter um pai como o seu!”. Ele gostava de ver a felicidade das crianças se divertindo na represa.

                I remember when he called all my friends to go to the dam, and the kids said "gee, how I wish I had a father like yours." He liked to see the happiness of children having fun in the dam.

                Ainda bem que esta sunga já está fora de moda a muito tempo...

                Thankfully, this swimsuit is already out of fashion a long time ...

Pescaria no Pantanal – Fishing at Pantanal

                Esta foi uma das últimas aventuras de Felipe, antes que ele partisse daqui.

                This was one of the latest adventures of Felipe before he left.

                Ele foi junto do primo Leocádio e sobrinho Paulo, ao Pantanal Mato-grossense, no Centro oeste do país, e de lá ele trouxe muitos peixes, os quais vieram transportados de caminhão.

                He went with his cousin Leocádio,  and nephew Paulo, to the Pantanal mato-grossense, in the center west of the country, and from there he brought a lot of fish, which came transported by truck.

                Me lembro que ele revezou a direção do caminhão no caminho, mas que, pelo fato de não possuir habilitação para conduzir caminhões, todas as vezes que se aproximavam de um posto de fiscalização, tinha de acordar o motorista oficial para que voltasse a conduzir o veículo.

                I remember that he turned the truck direction on the road, but because of not having license to drive trucks, all the time they approached a police checkpoint, Felipe had to wake up the official driver to return driving the vehicle .

                Por este motivo, ele me motivou a tirar licença para dirigir caminhões, pois segundo ele, nunca saberíamos quando teríamos que dirigir um.

                For this reason, he motivated me to take license to drive trucks, because according to him, never know when we would drive one.

                Esta pescaria ocorreu em 1986, em um dos locais mais bonitos que existe no Brasil – Pantanal do Mato-Grosso, conforme atesta a última foto desta postagem.

                This fishery occurred in 1986 in one of the most beautiful place that exists in Brazil - Pantanal of Mato Grosso, as evidenced by the last picture of this post.

O JEEP LARANJA – THE ORANGE JEEP

                Quem se lembra do Ford Jeep 1978 do Felipe? Quem se lembra quando ele adaptou um sistema de gás de cozinha, cujo botijão ficava debaixo do banco traseiro, que por sua vez ficava mais alto que os bancos da frente? E o sistema de injeção de querosene na ventoinha do motor, que ele acionava toda vez que se aproximava de um posto policial?

                "Who remembers the 1978 Jeep Ford owned by Felipe? Who remembers when he adapted a system that used cooking gas cylinder under the rear seat of the car as fuel, which  was higher than the front seats? And the kerosene injection system to the engine fan, that he triggered every time he approached a police station?"

                Na foto abaixo, uma daquelas aventuras em que Felipe quase perdeu o jeep, Neste caso, em São Francisco Xavier.

                Na foto a seguir, Felipe pilota o Jeep rebocando o pára-quedas com o cunhado Jessé, em São José dos Campos, onde se localiza hoje o bairro Campo dos Alemães.

                Na última foto, uma daquelas saídas sem destino certo que Felipe fazia de moto (Honda CG125) em busca de novos locais para praticar o vôo livre. Não tardaria para ele comprar uma moto mais adequada para estas aventuras – uma Honda XL250.

                Felipe uma vez me disse que gostaria de viver com os índios vivem na Amazônia...
